Habitat Launches New Website
We are proud to reveal an updated website to act as a front door, welcoming people into our organization. In addition to updating the content, we have improved navigation, helping visitors quickly find the information they seek. Many thanks to our Communications Committee, especially our Webmaster, Susan Brennan, for the hours dedicated to this much needed renovation.

Blitz Weeks Bring Habitat Recipients Closer to Home
Oconee County Habitat for Humanity (OCHFH) committed to building five houses this year. Our all-volunteer (and dedicated) construction volunteers are at the job site ensuring we meet that goal several days a week. This spring, their efforts were given a boost when we were able to conduct two “Blitz Weeks” at our Eastpointe Development. In March, college students from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington spent their Spring Break in Oconee County serving our community

OCHFH Christmas Tree Wins First Place
For the 13 th year, Duke Energy hosted their annual Festival of Trees display at The World of Energy. This event highlighted 23 trees decorated by local non-profits and civic groups. Everyone who viewed the trees got a chance to vote for their favorites. When the nearly 300 votes were tabulated, Oconee County Habitat for Humanity was awarded first prize and a donation of $2500 for the organization.
